New Medical Form

Reminder - its about time for everyone to update their medical form and there is a new medical form issued by the Boy Scouts of America. Please begin to use this form when you need to update you or your scouts medical form. This must be updated annually. Wood Badge Training Information - Adults

Wood Badge is the Boy Scouts of America's ultimate leadership training designed to meet the advanced leadership needs of Scouters in all aspects of the BSA, whether unit, district, or council level – from assistant den leaders to Scoutmasters, from Cubmasters to Venturing Advisors, from committee members to commissioners. Climbing Training

Help us provide good programming for our scouts.

Qualified Shooting Sports adults are needed to allow the Troop to have shooting sport camps. This requires special training to meet BSA requirements. Please talk with the Scoutmaster if you are interested or willing to attend these trainings.

Order of the Arrow Chapter Meeting

For all scouts and adults who are members of the Order of the Arrow, there is a monthly chapter meeting at the same time and location as the District Roundtable meeting. Troop 56's does not have a current OA troop representative. Please talk with the Scoutmaster if you have interest in this position. The District committee meeting takes place the second Thursday of the month at 7:00pm at Strawbridge United Methodist (5629 Kingwood Dr, Kingwood, TX 77345). Chapter meetings provide an opportunity for the youth to develop a plan to support units in the district, promote upcoming events, participate in ceremony team preparation and regalia building, learn leadership skills and have fun.
